Makes 24 biscuits

Ingredients

  • 250g peanut butter 
  • 200g caster sugar 
  • 1 egg 
  • 1 dessert apple (or pear), peeled and cored, then chopped into very small pieces or grated.

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
  2. Mix peanut butter, apple pieces, sugar and egg together in a bowl by hand (or using an electric mixer) until smooth and creamy.
  3. Roll mixture into small balls and arrange on a baking tray; flatten each with a fork, making a criss-cross pattern.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Cool biscuits on the baking tray for a few minutes before moving to a plate.
